The project. In context.

MindSpring is IBN's own personal-growth product: a private space that brings the day's tasks, habits, mood check-ins, reflection and focus sessions together. It ships as a native Android app and a full web app that share one account and one data model.

// THE CHALLENGE

The problem we had to solve.

Two platforms had to behave like one. Every change on the phone needed to appear on the web within seconds, both had to keep working offline, and deletes had to reach every device — without a backend server to run or pay for.

// WHAT IBN BUILT

The solution we shipped.

IBN built the Android app in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and the web app in React, both on Firebase. Each account's data lives as one document per row with server timestamps and soft deletes, and ids are generated the same way on both platforms so they never clash. The web app is an installable PWA with reminders, a sample account to explore, and Table, Board and Timeline views for tasks.
